For Liquidators

Confidence in
restructuring

Understanding how and why we present publicly available ASIC insolvency statistics.

Why is your data on this website?

All information published on this website is sourced from publicly available ASIC insolvency statistics. The data relates to small business restructure (SBR) appointments and accepted plans recorded by ASIC.

We do not alter, rank, score, or manipulate the data. We simply compile and present ASIC’s published information in a format that is easier for company directors and advisors to access and understand.

Why publish this information?

Company directors considering an SBR are often under financial stress and time pressure. They receive conflicting information and advice from their accountant, online sources and other advisors they speak to. Many are unsure who they are speaking with or whether the person advising them is a registered liquidator authorised to act as an SBR practitioner.

By making ASIC data more accessible, this website aims to:

  • Help directors verify that they are engaging with a registered liquidator
  • Provide transparency around publicly recorded SBR activity
  • Support informed decision making based on objective information
  • Raise awareness of the important work liquidators perform in small business restructuring

We believe greater visibility supports confidence in the profession and highlights the role registered practitioners play in delivering regulated, compliant outcomes.

Does this data determine who is the "right" practitioner?

No.While appointment volumes and accepted plans form part of the public record, they are only two factors in choosing an adviser. Other important considerations include:

  • Geographic location
  • Relevant industry experience
  • Capacity and responsiveness
  • The complexity of the matter
  • The quality of the upfront assessment and advice provided
  • Cost structure
  • The practitioner's willingness to accept an SBR in the circumstances

The purpose of this website is not to rank practitioners or make qualitative judgments. It is to present publicly available information in a consistent and accessible format.

Data accuracy

The data is sourced from ASIC’s published insolvency statistics and is updated regularly. If you believe any information is inaccurate or incomplete, please contact usso we can review and correct it promptly.

Opting out

We understand that some practitioners may prefer not to have their publicly available data displayed in this format. If you would like your profile removed from the website, you may opt out at any time. Please contact us and we will action your request.

Our intention is to promote transparency, support informed engagement with registered liquidators, and reinforce confidence in the SBR framework.
